breasts come in all shapes and sizes
One size does not fit all when it comes to bras. Not only that, but we can change size between 7 - 9 times in our life. That makes it worth understanding your breast shape(s) and how to provide the best support for them.
One breast is larger than the other
Different size breasts is very common. This can range from slight to completely different cup sizes.
womanhood tip: Always shop for the bigger cup and consider inserts to help balance out cup sizes where required.
Wider breasts with less tissue
These breasts are typical for an athletic shape and often have less volume on the top of the bust.
womanhood tip: try styles that provide lift with thicker underbands for greater support.
Slimmer at the top, fuller at the bottom
This shape of breast typically has a larger cup size and requires greater support from the band.
womanhood tip: opt for a full coverage bra that holds from the band whilst lifting from the straps.
Nipples point outwards and away from one another
These breasts move away from the centre of the chest in an outwards direction.
womanhood tip: try bras that hold the breasts together to create a comfortable fit.
Pre and post partum breasts
Breasts that are feeding, pre and post partum. Likely changing in size and needing both comfort, support and easy access.
womanhood tip: opt for styles that have small/medium/large sizing options to allow your breasts to fluctuate without limiting you to a cup size.
Post surgery breasts
Post surgery breasts require a unique kind of support. Something that is soft, doesn't dig in and only feels like an extra hug when worn.
womanhood tip: avoid underwires and look for bralettes that have side boning set further back so it avoids any delicate scar areas.
Breasts with soft tissue pointing downwards
These breasts are often more relaxed, with nipples pointing towards.
womanhood tip: try balconette or half cup bras to provide more fullness on top of the bust.
Equally full at the top and bottom
These breasts are round and may find they need less coverage or support.

Round tear drop shape
This breast shape is round with slightly less fullness at the top.

Wide space between breasts
