our womanhood ~ chapter V

As part of our latest campaign, we invited our community to take part in a shoot for womanhood. As with all our images, they remain untouched.

We had a chat with Laura about what womanhood means to her and the journey she has been on.

I am currently going through a hugely different and difficult pregnancy.

It never fails to amaze me at how different it can be for something that is initially the same as I have done before.

I actually can't believe how resilient I am. The new found strength and respect I have found for myself on this part of my journey are overwhelming and that I know no matter the outcome I will be ok.

I cannot say I am someone who has ever loved their body.

Unfortunately as a young woman I can say men (or should we say boys) were not the kindest and those small comments that were made can really stick with you for your entire life.

The thing that has made me love myself more is my amazing husband who points out daily how beautiful my body is and how he loves it even more post baby.

The strength of my beautiful friends, whom many of have struggled with their weight over the years, have shown me that no matter what your size or how you feel we are all in the same boat and you will always have support.

Look after your friends and they will look after you.
