our womanhood ~ chapter II
As part of our latest campaign, we invited our community to take part in a shoot for womanhood. As with all our images, they remain untouched.
We had a chat with Janine about what womanhood means to her and the journey she has been on.
"I'm on a journey of self-expression, feeling really grounded within myself. Don't get me wrong this has only come about in the last 18 months. To show up every day as my true authentic self is a big ask, and very unrealistic. But to accept that I don't have to be that women every day, that's the real power.
As a black woman I choose me, with all my grace, power and flaws, my journey is one of real acceptance.

I've evolved quite a lot over the last couple of years and rightful so based on outfit chose and hairstyle.
I think my younger self thought and cared way too much about what I displayed on the outside. Now I'm at a point in life where inside matters way more.

I have grown to accept some parts and love others. I embrace my broad shoulder and big thighs they are what make me, me.
